Terms of Service

Please read carefully. By accessing or using creditscopes.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

1. Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you ("you," "your") and CreditScopes ("CreditScopes," "we," "us," "our"), governing your access to and use of creditscopes.com and all related services (collectively, the "Service"). By visiting the site, completing any form, or clicking any button, you confirm you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. Description of service

CreditScopes operates an online marketing and referral platform focused on credit and identity-protection products. Our Service:

  • Collects consumer information through online intake forms
  • Matches consumers with credit-monitoring, identity-protection, credit-builder, and credit-repair providers in our affiliate network
  • Publishes general credit-education content
  • Facilitates communication between consumers and partner companies

CreditScopes is a marketing intermediary. We are not a credit bureau, lender, credit-monitoring provider, debt collector, or financial advisor, and we do not deliver credit scores ourselves. We do not guarantee any outcome from using the Service or any matched partner service.

3. Eligibility

To use the Service you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old;
  • Be a legal resident of the United States;
  • Have a valid email address and phone number;
  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information; and
  • Not be prohibited from receiving the Service under applicable law.

By using the Service you represent and warrant you meet all eligibility requirements. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.

4. User submissions and consent

When you submit a form on CreditScopes you:

  • Confirm that all information you provided is accurate, current, and complete;
  • Authorize CreditScopes to share your submitted information with affiliate-network partners for the purpose of matching you with credit and identity-protection services;
  • Acknowledge that submission is an inquiry, not an application or guarantee of approval; and
  • Acknowledge that third-party partners operate under their own terms and privacy policies.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of what you submit. Submitting false or misleading information violates these Terms and may result in inaccurate matching.

5. TCPA authorization

By submitting a form with the TCPA disclosure and checking the consent box, you provide express written consent under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act for CreditScopes and our marketing partners to contact you at the phone number and email address you provided, including via:

  • Automatic telephone dialing systems (ATDS) and artificial or prerecorded voice;
  • SMS/MMS text messages, including automated messages; and
  • Email communications.

Consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services. Standard message and data rates may apply. You may revoke consent at any time by replying STOP to a text, clicking unsubscribe in an email, or emailing info@creditscopes.com with "Opt Out" in the subject line. Opting out from CreditScopes does not opt you out from affiliate partners that already received your consent — you must opt out from them separately.

6. No financial, legal, or credit-repair advice

Information published on CreditScopes is general and educational. It is not legal, financial, investment, tax, or credit-counseling advice. You should consult a qualified professional before acting on anything you read here.

CreditScopes is not a credit-repair organization as defined under the federal Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA) or any similar state statute. We do not dispute negative items on your behalf, do not guarantee credit-score improvements, and do not charge you for credit-repair services. Educational content describing the dispute process under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) reflects rights you may exercise yourself.

7. Affiliate relationships and compensation

CreditScopes is an affiliate marketing platform. We may receive compensation when consumers connect with, sign up for, or take action with partner companies. This compensation may influence which partners appear on the site and in what order. We do not endorse any specific partner, product, or service, and we are not responsible for the actions, products, services, or content of any third-party partner. Our editorial standards are described in the Editorial Policy and disclosed in How We Earn.

8. Intellectual property

All content on creditscopes.com — text, graphics, logos, icons, images, and software — is the property of CreditScopes or its licensors and is protected by U.S. and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:

  • Reproduce, distribute, or publicly display content without written permission;
  • Create derivative works from our content;
  • Use our trademarks, logos, or brand without prior written consent; or
  • Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the site.

9. Prohibited uses

You agree not to:

  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information;
  • Impersonate any person or entity;
  • Violate any applicable law or regulation;
  • Send unsolicited commercial communications ("spam") through or about the Service;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its underlying systems;
  • Use the Service for purposes competitive with CreditScopes without our written consent; or
  • Collect or harvest personal information from the Service.

10. Third-party links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites, including affiliate partners and government resources. These links are provided for convenience. CreditScopes does not control linked sites and is not responsible for their content, accuracy, or privacy practices. Inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. CREDITSCOPES DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT ANY INFORMATION PROVIDED IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR USEFUL.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CREDITSCOPES AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES — ARISING FROM YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STATUTE, OR ANY OTHER THEORY, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

In jurisdictions that do not allow these exclusions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. In no event shall our total aggregate liability to you exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CreditScopes and its officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, and service providers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your violation of these Terms, your use of the Service, or your submission of false or misleading information.

14. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which CreditScopes is registered, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.

Informal resolution

Before initiating any formal dispute, you agree to email info@creditscopes.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.

Binding arbitration

If informal resolution fails, any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Arbitration shall be conducted in English. You may bring claims only in your individual capacity and not as part of any class or representative action.

Class-action waiver

YOU AND CREDITSCOPES AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.

15. Changes to these terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, post notice on the site. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
