CreditScopes ("we", "us") operates creditscopes.com, a loan connection service. We are not a lender. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Information you submit when requesting a loan: identity details (name, date of birth, Social Security number, driver's license), contact details (email, phone, address), employment and income details, and bank account details.
- Information collected automatically: IP address, browser and device information, and the pages you visit on this site.
- Consent records: when you submit a request we record the time, your IP address, and the version of the consent language you agreed to.
How we use it
- To match your loan request with lenders and lending partners in our network, which is the service you are asking us to perform.
- To send you updates about your request and, if you opt in, marketing email about related offers. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe.
- To comply with law, prevent fraud, and keep records our regulators and partners require.
Who we share it with
When you submit a request, we share the information you provided with lenders and lending networks so they can decide whether to offer you a loan. Those lenders may obtain consumer reports about you as permitted by law, with your authorization. We also use service providers (hosting, email delivery, analytics) bound to use your data only on our instructions. We do not share your information with unrelated third parties for their own marketing without your consent.
How we protect it
All traffic to this site is encrypted in transit. Your most sensitive fields (Social Security number, bank account and routing numbers, driver's license) are additionally encrypted at rest with managed keys, and are automatically purged from our systems on a short schedule after your request is processed. We keep only the last four digits afterward.
How long we keep it
Sensitive identity and bank fields are purged within days of your request being processed. Consent and suppression records are retained for up to five years because law requires us to be able to prove them. Other request records are retained only as long as needed for the purposes above.
Your privacy choices, including "Do Not Sell or Share"
Sharing your request with lenders so they can make you an offer may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under some state laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act. You can direct us not to sell or share your personal information, and you may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, subject to records we must keep by law.
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@creditscopes.com with the request and the email address you used on this site. We honor Global Privacy Control signals where required. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Email and text choices
Marketing email requires your opt-in and every message contains a one-click unsubscribe. Text and call consent is optional and is not a condition of any loan; reply STOP to any text to opt out. Opting out is honored across our systems.
Children
This site is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
